Innovative
Web Imaging Installation - NSC TechWorks LTD. (Elk Grove
Village, IL) won for its installation at one of the nation's
largest owners of utility services and the world's largest
nuclear power supplier. Before the installation, the utility
was manually processing client invoices which were unstructured
and required 2,600 characters of data to be entered. They
also needed to process rate contracts and wanted a document
management solution that would provide quick, secure access
to all of their documents. NSC TechWorks installed Cardiff's
TELEform OCR, along with their own DocWorks Web-based document
imaging solution in only two weeks. With this new solution,
the utility is able to process several thousand forms per
week and has reduced its labor requirements from a team of
three people to one person handling this task a |

hours a day. Now, the utility has access to its documents via
the Web from anywhere in the world. During the six months since
this installation, the utility's customer service has experienced
a tremendous increase in productivity because they can quickly
access documentsimmediately at their desks to answer client
questions. The Channel Connection Awards recognize the sales
achievements, innovative installations, and customer service
efforts of VARs, systems integrators, and solution providers.
